Terms of Service
Last updated: May 10, 2026
1. Agreement
By accessing modblo.com or purchasing any modblo product, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site or buy the products. These Terms apply to free downloads, one-time premium purchases, and recurring memberships (Creator, Agency).
2. What modblo provides
modblo provides Liquid section files, HTML/CSS/JS blocks, and bundles (“Packs”) that you install into a Shopify theme. modblo is not a Shopify app and does not run as a third-party service in your store. Once installed, the code runs entirely within your Shopify theme.
modblo is not affiliated with Shopify Inc. Liquid is a trademark of Shopify.
3. License grant
Subject to your tier, modblo grants you a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual license to install and modify the code on Shopify stores you own or operate, as follows:
- Free tier — 1 store you own, free sections only, personal/brand use.
- One-time purchase — 1 store you own, the specific section/block purchased.
- Creator membership — up to 3 stores you own, full premium library, lifetime updates while membership is active and access to installed versions after cancellation.
- Agency membership — unlimited brand and client stores, full premium library, commercial license for client work.
You may modify the code freely on stores you license it for. You may not redistribute, sublicense, resell, or include modblo source in a product you offer to third parties. You may not list modblo code in a public repository or on a section / theme marketplace.
4. Payments
Prices are listed in US dollars. Payments are processed by Stripe. One-time purchases are charged once at checkout. Memberships renew on a monthly or annual basis at the rate in effect at signup until canceled.
You can cancel a membership at any time from your account page. Cancellation stops future billing immediately; you keep access through the end of the current billing period.
5. Refunds
modblo products are digital, downloadable storefront assets delivered instantly. Because of this, we evaluate refund requests on a case-by-case basis rather than running a blanket return window. We lean toward saying yes when there’s a legitimate product issue — broken functionality, defective code, major compatibility problems, duplicate or accidental purchases.
For the full criteria, including what generally doesn’t qualify and how memberships are handled, see our Refund Policy. To request a refund, email billing@modblo.com.
6. Updates
Premium purchases include lifetime updates: future versions of a section you bought are free. Updates are voluntary — you choose when to apply them. Note that pasting an updated version over a section you have customized will overwrite your local changes.
7. Your responsibilities
You agree to:
- Use the code only on stores covered by your tier.
- Not share account credentials or attempt to circumvent the store-count limits.
- Not use the code to facilitate illegal activity, fraud, or spam.
- Comply with applicable laws (consumer-protection, privacy, sales tax) when running a store that uses modblo code.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms (including license violations or attempted abuse). Termination does not entitle you to a refund of any prior payments. You may stop using modblo at any time; uninstall the code from your theme if you wish.
9. Disclaimer
The code is provided “as is.” While we test every section before release and ship updates when issues are found, we make no warranty that any section will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every theme variant. Verify that any installed section works as expected on your store before relying on it for business-critical flows (checkout, payments, fulfillment).
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, modblo’s total liability for any claim arising from your use of the products is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim. modblo is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, including lost revenue, lost data, or business interruption.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms occasionally. Material changes will be announced by email to active members and posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of modblo after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which modblo is registered, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes are resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
